What is that for a photoshop version? I have CS3 extened, but by me is not the Register “3D” and i can only work in 3D when i have a 3D Model.
PS: I come from Germany and i have a german photoshop Version.

    Again a cool tut.

But why use the 3D-tools when you could have duplicated the G-layer and used that as a shadow? Wouldn’t that be way easier? And a new layer whit a blurred white circle for the lighting-effect.

    Thanks anyway.

There isn’t a rule anywhere that says you can’t do it that way.

Dude! How did you create the background for your desktop? I’ve been trying to do that for a long time and have had no luck :( I love that smoke effect. I hope you can make a tutorial for it.

    Nice Tutorial, by the way.

In the G-Force tutorial you say to Shift+Del and open a FIll Window. I cannot get this. Any suggestions? Thank you,

I have been trying to do this tutorial on my PC and having difficulty following the directions. Often the shortcuts are MAC only and you forget to mention PC, ie. Shift+Del or Shift+Backspace (Thank you NAPP Helpdesk). As I follow your directions I do not get your same layer images. I have layer masks in the PC when you have none. What am I doing wrong?

Looks nice. But the beginning of the tutorial looked very much like the Dharma Initiative from the Lost series. You should do their logo as well.

Thanks for this nifty tutorial, Corey. Figured out how to get the 3D effects with my old, clunky CS3 version. ;)

    Corey:

How do you get the 3D arrows to appear in the top left while rotating the layer? I assume that may have something to do with my video card not being up to date… but if you have any extra insight, it would be greatly appreciated!

Man I wish I had CS4! Well, great tutorial anyway. I learn a lot of my techniques from your work. :)

Open in Camera Raw from Bridge

You can open RAW images in Camera Raw right from Bridge in Photoshop CS3. This frees up Photoshop to continue working on your files while they’re being processed in Camera Raw. Just select one or more images in Bridge, Control-click (PC: Right-click) on them, and choose Open in Camera Raw. This will open the image(s) in Bridge’s Camera Raw rather than Photoshop. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Command-R (PC: Ctrl-R).
