I have got a boat load of new training events coming up in the next few weeks. First off, as you know, I am teaching at Photoshop World in Las Vegas, NV on October 1-3 being held at Mandalay Bay. Need I say more. Right after that I will heading over to Los Angeles to teach a couple hands-on sessions at the Adobe MAX conference at the LA Convention Center. This event starts on October 4 and goes through the 7th. My sessions are scheduled for October 5 and Oct 7. There is still some room left in this classes if you want to register. Go here for more info. Then after that I will be bringing the Down & Dirty Tour to Portland, OR. This event will be held on October 9 at the Oregon Convention Center. Click here for more info on this event. Well that is quite a bit of training. If you live out west I hope to see you at one of these events.

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
