At this point yes he should be considered one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time. Think about what it takes to physically and mentally stay up to the level of competition that he has. Then think about all the hype that he has to go through showing him all the angles of who he is or what could happen and what if…. Now we have some controversy to his ability to win. The 100 meter race was so classic in the way he had to come from behind. But I do feel from my distant and limited view point I say he tied the Serbian. Maybe because of the hype and being there to witness the event the officials and judges just felt more swayed to give it to Phelps. Forgive me if that sounds like he needed a favor. To me he earned every win that he was awarded.

Well Bob, Michael victory is lame in this case. I don't say that he isn't great swimmer and undisputed champion but you might want to take a look again at that race especially the very end of it. At the end Michael get a real competition for the future.

Congratulations, Milorad, on your lovely silver medal. It looks even better if you don't protest it. Nice swim, son, but next time don't go into your float too soon.

Have to agree with you, Phelps has an edge in talent coupled with the competitive fire and guts needed to unleash that talent. He da man. While digressing to the Olympics, I was blown away by the visual feast of the opening ceremonies. Holy crap! And speaking of crap, it is confirmed that NBC has no shame. With all of the amazing competitions occurring, we get to see endless hours of beach volleyball (there are much better and more appropriate displays of bikinis elsewhere.) NBC is also tone-deaf, thinking that the American people have some sort of perverse thirst for more interviews with the Olympic champion camera-hog, Bela Karolyi. NBC has done such a crap job that I end up tuning out since I find it much more entertaining to view your tutorials. Perhaps you could build on NBC's wonderful theme by giving us a tutorial entitled "Adding sand to butt cleavage".
