Stunning Gallery

Nikon USA has a cool, interactive photo gallery called stunningnikon.com. It is a collection of images submitted by Nikon users using the various models of Digital SLR cameras by Nikon. What’s interesting is the way you navigate and the ease of use; not to mention a lot of the images are really cool. I personally own a Nikon D40 and I am always interested in what others are accomplishing with the same equipment. So, if you own a Nikon, or even if you own another type of camera, it’s still interesting to see what others are doing and perhaps get some inspiration.

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
