You may remember that the NAPP recently hosted a contest for anyone who thought they could teach Photoshop well to put together their own tutorial on anything they wanted, in Photoshop of course. Well after sifting through the numerous entries there were a lot of really good entries but alas only one could emerge a winner. That winner is Kert Gartner who produced a really interesting video he titled Clone Operation Fail: Photoshop Workflow. For his efforts Kert will enjoy a massive prize package valued at $2500 and the opportunity to teach at the next Photoshop World. Congrats Kert!!!
There were also a number of honorable mentions as well. Ryan Schinneller, Magrela Canela, Doug Sundin, Jason Moore, and Christophe Deluy all will be receiving a $500 prize package. Well done gang. You can learn more about the winners and view the winning entry here.

Chances are you’ve noticed that when you attempt to increase the exposure in an image that is underexposed, you are going to clip your highlights, take areas of light color information and make them completely white. Before Camera Raw 4.1, the only way for you to compensate for this would be to dial back the exposure. Now, with the Recovery slider you can bring back some of the detail that was lost in the highlights without affecting the entire image.
