Well if you haven’t been to the Photoshop World site in a while it’s time to start checking it out. It has recently been updated with a lot of new information and some other cool stuff. One thing is a cool contest that is going on right now. Anyone who registers for Photoshop World Las Vegas will automatically be entered to win a copy of the Adobe Creative Suite 5. This will be handed out to four lucky winners, but remember you need to register in the this month to be eligible. Click here for more.
Another cool thing to check out is the updated Photoshop World app for the iPhone or iPod Touch. This was introduced at the last Photoshop World and everyone loved it. It provides you with all the show info including class reminders, newsfeeds, maps, instructor bios, customizable class schedules, and so much more. It’s a remarkably handy thing to have around the show. Click here for more info.

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
