So are you planning on joining all of us in Las Vegas for Photoshop World in September? If so, then you only have two weeks to take advantage of the early bird special that save you $100 off the registration cost. The early bird deadline is July 31, 2010. This is an event not to be missed. If you have been to Photoshop World before, then you know what I am talking about. It is a blast and it’s in Vegas. Could it be much cooler than that? This one promises to be memorable as this is the first PSW since the release of CS5 so you can expect a world of brand new content. I guarantee it. I have completely revamped my Photoshop 3D course to cover all the new features in Repousse and show how you can create eye-popping 3D without ever leaving Photoshop. There is so much going on at Photoshop World you can feel your head filling up with knowledge. Hope to see you there. Click here for more info and to register now!

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
