Photoshop User TV Back In Action!!

Well after a little hiatus the Photoshop Guys are back for an all new season of Photoshop User TV. Scott, Dave, and Matt are back with a boatload of new tutorials and contests and a whole new set. They have changed the format up a little bit with new segments and guest that will cut right to the chase and bring to you what you would expect, great tutorials. Not to mention all the silly antics that come along the way. The first episode of the new season is live and you can check it out now. Click here!

Also be on the lookout for the new season of Layers TV hosted by RC Concepcion and myself in the next couple weeks. We have a whole bunch of new things to bring you with the Creative Suite. So stay tuned…

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
