I'm an advanced amateur in photography and PhotoShop and this book was great. Easy to understand and although I've used PhotoShop for years I still learned a lot more. It was easy to apply the techniques from the sample photos to my own.

It ranks right up there with Deke McClellan's DVD's on easy of use and understanding.

I agree here. I've just finished reading the book and it is a wonderful book about layers with many easy to follow examples.
I wish all Photoshop books where that easy and good.

I read this book a while back and have to agree, it is all it's cracked up to be. It's easy to get through and has some great information.

I just bought this book last week and I love it! Even though I have been using photoshop for years, there's always something new to learn and it's good to review. The clear and fun writing style really appeals to me as well. There are far too many books out there with no sense of humor (thank heavens this isn't one of them). I would recommend this to any skill level.
