New Photo Recipes App Released!

Recently Scott Kelby released a fantastic new book/dvd combo called Photo Recipes Live: Behind the Scenes. This is pretty much like a live seminar in a box. It brings you along with Scott as he takes you through a live photo shoot on location at a New York loft studio. Scott walks you through the necessary steps to pull off a successful model shoot without breaking the bank. Now that same book/dvd combo is available as an app for your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. Now you can literally have the answers right in your pocket. Organized in a very simple interface, you can view by chapter or by individual clips. Making the answers just a few finger taps away. Click here to learn more about this powerful new app and enjoy!

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
