What are the limitations on original piece of work requirement? I mean wouldn't it be original if we were to use popular pieces of work and use it in a innovative manner- place it in and use it in a manner that it was never meant to be in? I've learned that's how you really make your work stand out- as long as you give credit to your sources. Besides I sincerely doubt I would be the first to use super-Nintendo characters i.e. Mario, pac-man, etc (The Retro text tutorial gave me the idea of popular 60's games; that and the comic book effect).
