New Advancements in Facial Reconstruction!

Link

Now this is pretty cool! I can only hope this is incorporated into Photoshop someday. A man by the name of Volker Blanz and his team have developed a software application in which they analyzed hundreds of facial images and built a composite mesh that can be used on virtually any photograph to build a 3D model. The model can then be manipulated to various facial expressions. This can be used to open and close eyes, make a frown or a smile, and even change the weight of a face by making it look bony or fleshy. It really is quite fascinating. Check out this video demonstration.

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
