NAPP News on iTunes | Contest Thanks!!

 

One of the great benefits of being a NAPP member is that you can always stay up-to-date on what going on in the industry. One of those many resources available to NAPP member is the NAPP News show hosted by NAPP Director Larry Becker. Every week Larry brings you what new. Whether it’s a new product, a new event, or maybe something so cool that he just has to tell you about it. Well, until recently the NAPP news was only available NAPP members, but now you can view it as a podcast over on iTunes. Even if you are not a NAPP member this is another good way of finding out what’s happening and what good things are going on for current NAPP members. Larry also does a little contest for NAPP members with some pretty cool prizes.

Speaking of contests, we got an overwhelming response to our first Planet tutorial contest. I want to personally thank all those who entered and really hope you found a way to expand your skills. Sometimes just getting challenged is good motivation. We are currently reviewing the submissions and will be posting the winners in a few days. We will also be posting a three newly selected tutorials for the next contest. Thanks again and good luck!!!

    Hey,

    I started listening to the Podcast but now in the iTunes the last to news downloads will not! It is gives me an error saying that the server is having a corruption error or the download cannot be played on iTunes. I was hoping that the problem can be fix quickly. I am now behind by two downloads. So this has been going on for some time.

Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
