great tut, sadly i only have standard cs4. is there anyway to get an effect like this without the 3d extras

For the 3D widget go to Photoshop > Preferences > Performance (Mac OS) or Edit > Preferences > Performance (Windows). on the right hand side it has “GPU settings” it says enable OpenGL drawings tick it and you should be able to get the widget

A very nice tutorial – I have just one problem after downloading the trial version of Photoshop CS4 extended ( which I will certainly buy ) using the 3D tool.

The coloured arrows you use to scale the 3D object are not present in the working area and saving the texture is not generating an “individual” file.
Where do I have to change the settings?
