The Adobe Max Conference is coming soon. Yes, this massive event is going to be in San Francisco on November 16-19. That’s pretty much right in Adobe’s back yard. What does that mean? Well it means that there will probably be a lot more Adobe people to network with. Not only that, it’s a great conference. I went to last year’s Max in Chicago and it was awesome. There are numerous courses in design, developing, and business management and you have the chance to network with thousands of people just like you. Find more here. Oh, and San Francisco is an awesome city to visit.
Also there is a new video tutorial here on Planet. This video explores more fun with custom brushes. Once you realize the amazing possibilities with brushes, you can just have a blast coming up with new discoveries. Check it out.

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
