My fellow Photoshop guy Matt Kloskowski is going to be in Covington, Kentucky on January 23rd teaching the Lightroom 2.0 Live seminar tour. This is the same seminar made popular by Scott Kelby just last year an who better to learn Lightroom from than from one of the leading instructors out there. This full of Lightroom is great whether you have just started with Lightroom or been using for a while. You will get something out of it. Even if your not sure if you want to buy Lightroom, you can attend the seminar and see if it’s worth the investment. You won’t be disappointed. Click here for more info.
Now this may not necessarily be in the realm of Photoshop but it’s too funny not to mention. If you have ever heard of the Onion News Network then you know that they have some of the most unique news stories anywhere. The only catch is they are fake. At first glance it seems that you are watching a legitimate newscast until they do or say something that makes you do a double take. Just recently The Onion posted a news story on a new product from Apple referred to as the MacBook Wheel. Now I don’t want to spoil the surprise but anyone who is Apple fan will definitely get a good chuckle out of this. What blows me away is that for a spoof newscast, the production quality almost makes you believe what they are telling you. Click here to see for yourself.

Corey shares another way to get a cool 3D light beam effect.
Corey finishes up the Olympic-inspired design that he began last week in Part 1.
The Olympic-inspired tutorial will be coming in two parts. Stop by next week for the conclusion to this video.
This week’s tutorial deals with creating masks for complicated images by using channels.
You can open RAW images in Camera Raw right from Bridge in Photoshop CS3. This frees up Photoshop to continue working on your files while they’re being processed in Camera Raw. Just select one or more images in Bridge, Control-click (PC: Right-click) on them, and choose Open in Camera Raw. This will open the image(s) in Bridge’s Camera Raw rather than Photoshop. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Command-R (PC: Ctrl-R).

Wow, thanks for the Onion News. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. I have booked marked that site. Oh, thanks for all you do. I love the tutorials. Keep up the good work.

I actually heard about this on the radio like it was a real product first. Then I watched the video earlier today and still wasn’t sure. That’s an awful lot of work for a spoof… or is it?
