Live From New York, It’s Photoshop Live!!!

 

That’s right! The Photoshop Guys are coming to New York. Come and join Scott Kelby, Dave Cross, Matt Kloskowksi, RC Concepcion and myself as we present a live Photoshop CS5 Summit on Friday, June 25, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The event will be held at the Hammerstein theater at the Manhattan Center. We will be demonstrating the newest and coolest features in Photoshop CS5 and there will also be folks from Adobe on hand to answer questions or just get caught up in a bunch of tech talk. Oh yeah, did I mention that the event is totally FREE! Though seating is limited so you need to go here and register. Don’t miss out!! Create A Composite Layer

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.

Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
