Now here is a nifty little site that I visit every now and then for inspiration. It’s called coolhomepages.com and it is a collection of web pages that range from personal to full-blown commercial. These are submitted by the creators of the sites and you can even submit your own. It is a really good resource for checking out what’s in and what’s out in the web design world. The search engine is broken down by category, so if you work in a particular field you can narrow your search to just that. It is definitely worth a look. You can check it out here.

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
