Well, we have reached the end…of the year that is!! I just wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy New Year and thanks to all you who visited us here at Planet Photoshop. We hope you continue to visit frequently because we have all kinds of new things happening in the new year. We have a whole new Photoshop World coming up in Boston with a long list of fantastic instructors. Of course, CS3 will be shipping sometime early in the year (We don’t know when exactly) and you still have two days to get your entries in for the Photoshop User Awards with a chance to win a trip to Rome, Italy. The deadline is December 31st at Midnight. So hurry up and git-r-done. Again, thanks to everyone out there and remember to PLAY>CREATE>ENJOY.

If you have a multilayer composition and you
want to apply an effect to all the layers at once, don’t flatten the layers–use a composite layer instead. Hide the layers you want excluded, and press Shift-Command-Option-E (PC: Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E). A new layer will be created at the top containing a merged copy of all the visible layers.
Another option is to create a new layer at the top of the stack and make it active. Command-click (PC: Ctrl-click) each layer you want to include to make those layers active, as well. Press Option-Command-E (PC: Alt-Ctrl-E).
