Welcome everyone to our first design contest. My name is Mitzs and I shall be your contest host. I would like to thank Kelby Media for not only providing us with a great website to host these contests but for providing the prize.
Now for the contest...


The Mission
1. Download the stock royalty free image of the mantis from SXC at the link below.

2. Use any portion of the mantis image in combination with elements of your own creation to compose a unique photo design. You may only use Photoshop or photography with the mantis (just make sure that you either own all the copyrights to anything you use for your final design or you get permission to use any images that you don’t own).
3. Finally, upload your finished design for a chance to win.

The Rules
As stated above you may only use a photograph that you have copyrights to or permission to use and Photoshop. No 3rd party plug-in or light room. If it did not come with the Photoshop installation it may not be used. Please keep it smut free. We have minors on the site that do participate at this site on a daily basis.

Theme
There is no theme for this contest except make it your own. You may create a movie poster, DVD or book cover, a banner and so on. Set your imagination free.

Closing Date
November 24th 2008

Easy there, you have a month. Relax and let your imgination kick in. Theres all kinds of things you can do with little Manny.

You could have a river flowing between 2 mountains with him floating on a leaf. You could even give him a couple of oars to row with. Or you could put him in a puddle with some soap and a wash cloth for him taking a bath. You could do corey space background tutorial and having him flying though space with a cape and goggles on. Make him king of his own planet. All kinds of fun things you can do with him. Even as simple as sitting on a flower with a ray of sunbeam sunning him. Just take your time and have fun with it.

Good idea...I wont be participating but a comp always keeps people on their toes and is good for a bit of team building.
