Text not showing - Help!

Hi!
Oooh my first thread!
I'm having problems in Photoshop CS2. My text in my textbox is not showing up and I'm not too sure why?! I haven't done anything new except for getting a new external hardrive and adding more memory but I haven't touched anything to do with Photoshop.
I've read another thread which was similar and none of that advice fixed it (making text bigger, etc). My text colour is black (on white background), the font is (or was last time I used it) recognised and the font is quite huge.
I really need to get this fixed as it is essential to my project. :eek:
Any help would be VERY grateful.

did you ever figure out how to solve that problem? the same thing is happening to me and I see NO text when i type it in... and i've tried everything. even making it bigger doesn't help. this sucks.

It may be because your text is behind the background. That's what was happening to me. Try going to Layer--then Arrange--then bring text to front.

The Fix to CS2 text problems was obscure to me too, but I worked it out.
Turned out to be in the Adobe AR :(
I wrote a page on how to fix it without butchering your computer at manta-2000.com (http://www.manta-2000.com/tech/fixphotoshopcs2.htm)
If you find it useful and it works for you (I used it myself to fix my issues) please email me, leave me feed back or something? I really want to know I am not misleading anyone and the solution is something that is working for everyone, or at least the majority of users.
