Will anyone take the time to give me a brief SUMMARY of a few of the basic concepts used to create the that "Dreamy, great colors, and awsome lighting effects" used in so many of the wedding portraits in www.studiojk.com ???? I know that the how to deserves much more than a summary, but I an guessing that some you seasoned CS2 users could give me some of the basics to help get me on the way.

Well, I saw the link from this thread on my website log. I thank you for your compliments on the images on my website.
A lot of work went to create the images on my website. I can reveal one pointer for you.
One of the effect that I use a lot is to do with layers and gaussian blur. Grab a image on photoshop and create a duplicate layer. On dupllicated layer apply heavy gaussian blur. Then, convert that layer to 'softlight'.
There are latest images updated on my blog site. check it out at www.studiojk.com/pblog.
Thanks!

I have been a full time photographer for 8 years but only a digital photographer for 2 years. Before digital I did not even have photoshop. In these 2 years we have gotten really good at fixing photos. As in braces removal, hair, acne, and what not. But when it comes to image enhancement we have alot to learn. We did a very high end outdoor wedding last week and everything looks good. But when I applied you gaussian blur thing to the image they really stood out.
If I could bug you is there any other trick that you have learned that makes a outdoor images stand out. Anything you can share would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure of that the original shot have to be really good, if you wanna make pictures of this quality. Retouching isn't everything. exept when it comes to make-up commercials.
