Hi,

I have a picture of a tshirt that a friend took. It looks great, and I want to re-use it and just change it from white to blue.

How do I do this in photoshop? Whenever I try I am losing all the folds and contours of the shirt. I'd like to keep it looking exactly like the same shirt, and only change the color of the shirt.

Any help is sincerely appreciated!

Thanks,

Anytime I want to change the color of something, I always start with making a selection, then creating a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Check the Colorize checkbox and then tweak the Hue and Saturation sliders to your heart's content.

If you have, say a red shirt, make a rough selection around the grament use the saturation adjustment tool.

Select reds form the puldown menu and slide the HUE slider until you get the desired colour you want... and parts of the image that have change in the process ie other reds, you can use the history brush to restore them.
