Hey everyone,
I’m new to planet photoshop but have been fiddling with Adobe Photoshop 7 for about a year now.

I was hoping someone might be able to help me with textures. Today I came across an old postcard and decided I wanted to try and recreate its worn look on a digital photo. My final creation looks ok but I still think it’s missing something. It doesn't exactly look the way I wanted it to.

Here's what I ended up with.

I think one reason it's not quite right is the edges are too crisp and need to be warped a little. I know CS2 has that special tool but I only have APS 7 and can't seem to figure out how to ripple them a bit. Also the texture seems wrong. It looks more like someone crumpled it up into a ball instead of just being handled frequently.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks
Sarah

there are tons of tutorials on the net to do worn paper edges, check the tut's on this site or on something like teamphotoshop.com, or even do a google search. As far as the texture is conscerned do you have a link so we can see what you were trying to duplicate?
