Alright. This is my first tutorial and it covers how to 'beautify' someone. In other words, rid them of their noticable flaws to create something possibly attractive.
First step: Find a photo you want to fix, a stock photo, a celebrity, etc.
I chose a photo called 'this is me' by Zjork (http://www.sxc.hu/photo/564626) on sxe.
Second Step: Copy your image and paste it into photoshop. Make sure it is not the background. Unlock the background layer(which should be all white) by double clicking it.
Now you should have a layer called 'layer 1' and a layer called 'layer 0'.
Rename them to fit what you're doing. mine will be "white layer" and "tutorial base".
Third Step: Duplicate the image you're editing. This will help you later for a before and after image.
Fourth Step: hide the original layer of your photo. and pull it under the white layer.

Fifth step: GO TO THE DUPLICATE LAYER! Patch tool. I'm going to take off some acne first. Select the offensive portion with the patch tool's lasso and then drag to a clean patch of skin.
EXAMPLE (http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/cuntexcore/2.jpg)
Continue this across the face where ever ance/moles/blackhead might be. It's tedious but do it.
...tick ...tock
You should have a clear face now.
EXAMPLE (http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/cuntexcore/3.jpg)
Sixth Step: Smoothing out the skin. Duplicate the duplicated layer. So you have two clean layers.
Seventh Step: hide the first clean layer.
Eighth Step: Erase the eyes, lips, background, center of the eybrows and shadows, shiny spots with a soft 50% opacity. you should be left with just the skin with most details earsed partially.
EXAMPLE (http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/cuntexcore/4.jpg)
Nineth Step: Unhide the first duplicate layer.
Tenth Step: SELECT THE SECOND DUPLICATE LAYER(erased one). go to filter>noise>median and put it up until the face looks very smooth. I took mine up to 3.
EXAMPLE (http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/cuntexcore/5.jpg)
Eleventh Step: Take the opacity of the smooth skin layer down to around 45%. It should look pretty smooth now but not plastic.
Twelth Step: Make the picture brighter. Select the whole image[ctrl+a] then copy all layers together[ctrl+shift+C], paste[ctrl+V]. you should now have a duplicate of your image how it looks with all layers.
Thirteenth Step: SELECT YOUR NEWEST LAYER. Go to image>ajustments>curves[ctrl+M]. On RGB I brought my input to 110 and output to 149. This brightened it a bit.
fourteenth step: desaturate your bright layer[Ctrl+Shift+U]
fiftheenth step: set this layer to screen on around 15%.
sixteenth step: duplicate the screen layer switch it to "color" and raise it to opacity of 25%. Then press ctrl+U tick the "colorize" opition(put the setting to 34, 18, +9. This should give your photo a yellowish tint. It should be a very light one.

Now you have a clean image to post on a site.
If you want to make a before and after double the width of the canvas and move the original we hid over.
