How to create a signature?

I want to sign my photos. I want to sign a piece of paper and scan in my signature and then place my signature at the bottom right of my photos.

I'd like the signature to have a transparent background and semi-transparent letters. I'd like to save the signature as a graphic so I can use it over and over again. It would be nice if I could change it's color to match each photo.

Is there a tutorial on this?

I think I figured this out myself. Correct me if I'm wrong.

1. Scanned in my signature from my flatbed scanner.
2. Corrected contrast / brightness etc..... Made White real white and Black real black.
3. Magnified image and selected it with the Magic Wand
4. Created new layer
5. Went to Background Layer and Edit Copy ... copied the selection
6. Pasted image into new layer.

Now I had and image that had a transparent background.

7. Selected the new layer and went to Edit / Define a Brush Preset
8. Saved the Brush as Signature

Now my signature is a brush that I can size, color, make transparent etc.

Seems to work...
