Hello there,

I am a newbie to Photoshop FYI.

I created a logo in Photoshop for my small company. In photoshop, the logo looks clean and sharp. I saved the logo onto my desktop (can't remember in what format at this time)

I am currently creating a database using Microsoft Access. I want to use this company logo on my various reports. I created a report in access and pasted the logo onto the report = It looked great in Access. However, when I printed the Report the logo came out grainy. It is not unreadable, however, you can see the grainy grey-specked edges. My logo is very Simple - It is primarily text.

My Question: How can I get this logo ultra clean and in what format should I save it? I want the logo to look like font printed on a word document-clean. What are the steps to take here? Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

I think your dpi-resolution is to low. try changing it to 300 dpi, and saving it again. that is done by going to: image> image size, and then typing 300 into the "dpi-textbox"

hope it works, not sure of it myself.. but it's a suggestion :D

Hi BlakeB,

Hmm, it might seems like the format you saved and used in Access is low-res or not very suitable. Resulting in the grainy printout of the logo. Im not sure whether it will works but worth a try saving the logo as a TIFF format and exporting it to your Access report. (From menu bar, File>Save as> under format, pick TIFF, shld be the last one on the list)

You can also try checking out the mode you're in, while editing the logo in photoshop.(From menu bar, Image>Mode>) As long it's not in Bitmap or Indexed color, the colors should be pretty smooth~

Hopefully it will work for you :)
