Is there any way to create a webpage with frames in photoshop 7 at all? I am a complete novice so any help is welcomed...I've only just learnt to slice

Having frames just depends on how you set up your page in a website layout program (like GoLive or DreamWeaver). I'd be careful though, there are only a few instances where frames really help out in a design. Most of the time it just causes headaches.

No, you can't create frames wihin Photoshop. You have to use a something like Dreamweaver or Go-Live.

Most of the time frames suck. If you don't really need it. I wouldn't use it.

Ok you've convinced me ;) I have no Idea how to use HTML...do you need to be able to do it in order to use Dreamweaver etc?

Say I created a webpage in photoshop...would I need Dreamweaver in order to put it onto the internet?

Thanks :D

Technically you can create a site in Photoshop, but you'll end up spending more time (if there is more than one page that is, and most likely you'll have at least several pages) and the results will be poor. The advantage of using HTML is that you can have things like styles and native text that aid in page size, readability and search engine optimization. A page just made in photoshop will have everything be an image which is just not cool.

You do not need to know HTML to use something like GoLive or Dreamweaver--those programs write the HTML for you.

Just to add to jonknees comments. I would try to learn the basics of html. It's a lot easier to fix problems when Dreamweaver goes crazy sometimes. ;)
