New Member with question

Hi,
I am a new member and I have just got into using Photoshop CS on my Mac. Mostly I use it for photographic images from my Canon 350D. My question is this: is there any way that I can transfer images from Photoshop back to my camera card? I would like to be able to do this so I can then take the card down to the local store and print straight from the card. It may be that I need a plug-in or some other piece of software. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance,

desktop, then there is no reason why you cannot treat the card as an electronic disk drive, and write files back to the card.

But here are two reasons I will not do that.

My 1Gb -2Gb cards are a whole lot more expensive than a CD disk, if the printer screws it up or somehow trashes the images, I am going to feel a whole lot better losing a 2 dollar disk instead of a hundred dollar card. If they somehow blast the card you are the one who needs to buy another card. If they blast the disk then you just make another one.

The images continue to exist on the card even after I have downloded them to PS, if I have a important image on my hard drive and the drive should crash. I can still recover the image from the card. I usually leave the images on my cards until I need to refornat the card in the field because I have used up all the rest of my cards. And I also make sure I have the image on my hard drive and written to a CD before I mark the card as able to be formatted.

The least amount of my photo equipment that I have to send to a printer the better I like it. After all the cards are my digital negative capture devices, the CD just holds my post processed images.

Thank you for this very good advice John, I never thought of losing the card at the printers! I shall take your advice and go the CD route. Regards,
