Hi all

I hope someone out there can help me with this. I found that reflecting a simple object is fairly straight forward however I want to reflect things like laptops and PCs and I have no idea how to do this, nor could I find any tutorials on the subject!

What I am trying to do is something along the same lines as the image below:

Could someone out there please tell me how this is done, or point me in the direction of a nice step by step tutorial as this would really help me with my work!

Also if anyone can tell me how to create that kind of background I'd like to know as I never seem to be able to blend the gradients very successfully!?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give :)

for that in particular, just choose a gradient of like blue to white and fill it in with the gradient tool.

then if u have a laptop, it is probaby a two step process. however, i if u do find a laptop with that same angle to it, its probably easier.

first, create two duplicate copies of it. since u stated that it was easier with regular objects, im assuming you know the basics like flipping and rotating etc. the pictures to create the reflection.

first, you might have to find a pic of the bottom of a laptop, or just duplicate the original and move it down a little so that you get that reflection you see right below the laptop. make sure that you mess with the colors so that you want see the keyboards, etc. because it is suppose to be the bottom.

then with the second duplicated layer, just flip it and vertically to make it look like mirror images
