Cut and replace

Hi,
I am trying to cut out a section of a photo with some pedestrians and replace that section with an unobstructed selection from a second photo of the same area. I am using cs3 and have acess to elements 6

I have tried to manualy merge this but can't quite get it right.

Well unless the camera was in the same place with both shots then you have got a problem.
Photoshop cannot auto merge them as they wont line up and look strange.
Any chance we can see them ?

Allign and use clone tool from one image to another,or just clean out the unnecessary portions of the image
