I took a picture and it was in a hall where there was tungsten. I didnt set my camera to tungsten balance so I ended up with yellowish skin. I want to find out how to take the yellow out of the skin in this picture. I have already color corrected with curves and i have worked with hue etc. Can anyone tell me how to fix it without making the skin fake.
Honest and blunt criticism is greatly appreciated and help too lol
thanks!

Put a Hue-Saturation layer and just adjust the Yellows, then on the Layer mask just paint with a black brush over the tie to bring back the yellow in the tie. Where it says Master just pop down the Menu and choose Yellows.
Nice sharp shot though.

Hi, Slimla!
Here is a way to do it...
Open your photo in Camera Raw (and not in Bridge, as Old Geezer pointed out). In there there are several ways of changing the white balance of a picture.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3635/3522685415_d4524407a0_o.jpg
1: The white balance tool. Select this tool, and click on a part of your image that should be i neutral color (black, white or gray), and your problem should be solved.
2: The white balance drop down menu. Here you can select different presets like in your camera, if you have a RAW file. If you have a jpg, you can choose between "As shot" and "Auto".
3: If theese doesn't do it for you, you can set the white balance manually by using theese sliders. If you have to much yellow in your image, push the slider towards blue until it looks right.
Hope this was of any help to you!
-Anders.
Edit: Oh sorry, didn't see your link there!

Id like to know, too. Everytime I see someone post a picture, I think it looks good, only to read others comment about color casts. I know what color casts are, I just have a hard time seeing them myself. Then Ill see the picture corrected for the color cast, and then Ill think.. "Wow.. that does look so much better"
If only there was an easy way to figure out you have a problem with skin tone first

Here is a tutorial I did for an elements site. The steps are the same in Photoshop so have a look. Its a good way to see the color cast and correct it if you don't use ACR or Lightroom.
