using the rule of thirds for composition is perhaps inferior to using something called a Fibonacci Spiral. This is also sometimes referred to as the Golden Mean or Golden Spiral. It is based on mathematical formulas, which provide order to much of the galaxy (seriously, I’m not making this up).

Great share

I had forgotten that the crop tool in Lightroom has the other guides besides the basic thirds. Now I just have to remember the keyboard shortcut...

Lex wrote:... The computer cant compose an image for you, and a truly crap composition is impossible to fix or adjust without ruining the integrity of the image/file by cropping it down so much that it probably wouldnt be worth printing. However, I thought the method was interesting and the guides in LR are helping me understand what makes a really strong composition.

...

Its by no means a tool that will turn a poor composition into an outstanding one, but it can help turn a good composition into a great one and it helps me see the difference more easily.

Lightroom 2 is awesome.
Adding multi monitor support completes it
Other stuff that come from PS are cool too.
CS4 . . not sure if anyone will realy need it

I have had Lightroom installed on my pc throughout the Beta as well. I love this program. I subscribe to an Ipod Podcast called Lightroom Killer Tips. Its a free Podcast and has a ton of cool walkthroughs and tips. Lightroom has so much functionality. Its an awesome program in my book.

I accept with information:The computer cant compose an image for you, and a truly crap composition is impossible to fix or adjust without ruining the integrity of the image/file by cropping it down so much that it probably wouldnt be worth printing.
