objects selecting

hey all,im not new but im also not good much and i wanted to ask if some1 can post me few links with guides for selecting multiple and single object on photos like for example flock of birds which i found very hard for me to select them all and move to another image.

cuz there are many of birds of different sizes and few guides will help me a lot to practice.
