My company has decided to move from our home-grown site to a template site. I'm hoping there's a way to "import" the slices dictated by the site's CSS so the site will appear, sliced, in Photoshop, My end goal is to be able to edit the site as one image instead of as individual images, then have Photoshop re-slice the images so i can just replace the template images with the images sliced from Photoshop.

Anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks in advance.

Unless they gave you the psd file, you are probably out of luck with editing the files. I mean you can but no more than editing any other jpg or gif. As for importing as a whole image, that is probably not going to happen unless they provided you with the working files.

They probably did however give you an images folder. Open the images and check their sizes. The header for example may be 960 by 160 pixels and titled header.gif. Simply create a new file in photoshop with the same dimensions, create the header you want and then save it with the same title as the one the template provided header.gif, essentially replacing their file with yours. This means no extra programming on your side, just replacing graphics.
