If someone could please help me that would be great!
My problem is:
I have a black and white photo and I want to add color but only to my glasses.
How do I do this?

To colorize a black and white, while still retaining the detail of the image, you can paint the color on another layer. Just change the new layer's blend mode to either Overlay or Color. Choose the Brush tool, pick a color and paint to your heart's content.

Anyone else know of a technique for this?

Well for me to free handly draw on top of tha glasses that I want done, is nearly impossible because it will not turn out how I would like it to turn out. There has to be a tool where I can just select that piece of idem and just color that part... Is there not?

Once again, Lesa has taught me something new. :)
Ive been making it a point to check out this forum at least once a day, to try and learn a new tip/trick and hopefully help out where I can.
I never new how to add color to a specific area of a B&W photo without just painting normally over it and having it look terrrrrible. I didnt realize it was a simple change of the layer style to overlay or color (I think color works better, but it depends on the look you're going for)

to Wifey: I tried Lesa's advice on a black and white pic of a child with glasses, It seemed to work pretty well, looks good..but It all depends on what you're going for , like you said.

IS THERE A WAY TO POST JPEGS ON HERE FOR ALL TO SEE?

Oh, and my friend, he did it with his eye ball, just changed the color of it, but someone did it for him, he doesn't know how, but there must be away...

This is going to be really tough unless the photo you're working on is a lot better quality than this one. However, a couple of ideas to select just the glasses:

Since the glasses are predominately black, try selecting the Magic Wand tool (perfect for selecting by color) and tweaking the tolerance in the options tool bar (top of your screen) until you get a decent selection around the glasses themselves. Once you get the majority of the glasses selected, just shift click and keep clicking on other bits of the glasses until you get it all.

Once you have a selection, create a new layer, pick a color and press Option + Delete (PC: Alt + Delete) to fill the selection area with that color, then change the blend mode of that layer.

You might also try the magnetic lasso to get a selection.
