I'm embarrased to admit that I'm still using Photoshop 5.5. It does everything I need to to do for my web design business.
Am I really missing out on something by not upgrading? Are there any major new toys in it that will help me out?

I am equally embarassed to remember when certain new features were introduced (ver 6? ver 7?)
Here are the things that I think would be of use to you in web design if you were to upgrade to CS2:
- Slice tool (for "cutting up" larger graphics)
- layer comps (a great way to work with multiple layers)
- Save for Web (enhanced over previous versions)
- enhanced layer styles (bevels, shadows etc)
- smart objects
I'm sure there are other features & tools that people will chime in with....

I think the save for web dialog box is worth it right there--really does a great job at getting the graphics down to a small size. That's probably my most common use for Photoshop (after fixing the colors and adding a little sharpening of course!).

ItŽs easier in use to! At first youŽll have to get used to it, just like anything. But when you are, youŽll see you can work faster!
