i found this and wondered how its done..

i found this image on the web, looks pretty cool. im actually just wondering how you do this?
im pretty new to photoshop but im sure i will manage if someone could leave me a few steps on how you would do it.

Hello,

How i would do it would be that i would set my camera on tripod to compose the scene. Then i would took few shots with different positions of the subject. Then i would open images in Photoshop and drag and drop them to stack them above each other and i would mask out from every layer (each shot you have took) unneeded parts of an image so that only subject is revealed. So masking would be a key to achieve this and of course good compositing.

Nemesis is right, though Photoshop Elements 6 can do it automatically with its PhotoMerge Group Shot feature :)

You can also use the auto align images under the edit menu in CS3 to align the images proberly because no matter how careful you are with the tripod it would probably move just a bit.
