Ok heres the deal im having problems with my effects on rollerover buttons i made a button for an intranet site but see the thing is that i only want the effects to take place when the cursor is over the image itself but the effect takes place when over the layer can some one help me here ?

Select a portion or all of the image.
Choose Select > Create Slice from Selection.

ImageReady creates a user slice based on the selection marquee. If the selection is feathered, the slice covers the full selection (including the feathered edges). If the selection is nonrectangular, the slice covers a rectangular area large enough to enclose the full selection. If you then click on the slice with the slice selection tool you can set all the rollover effects etc. just for that slice instead of the whole layer. You select all of the image that you want to use for the rollover then create a slice to constrain the effect to just the selected area. HTH John
