I'm running a Mac with Photoshop CS. To date I've been using a Nikon D70 camera and had no problems adjusting Raw (Nef) images using the camera raw plug-in.
Now I've got a Nikon D80 and it seems I need to upgrade the plug-in as I cannot access the Raw images taken on this camera.
Can somebody tell me in words of one syllable what I need to do? Searched the Adobe website but could not find the solution.
Thanks.
I too am running Photoshop on a Mac and when there is an update for the Raw software, my Mac tells me so.
Try this: Pop open your System Preferences and double-click Software Update. Click the Check Now button and see if the Raw plug-in is on the list. If so, just select it and press the download button.
That should be all you have to do :)

This doesn't seem to work. If I go to Software Updates all I get is updates to stuff like GarageBand and iTunes. Nothing related to Photoshop, plugins etc. It has to be somewhere on the Adobe website, but I can't find it.

Still no go.
I cannot find and download the update I need.
I need:
a Camera Raw plug-in which is compatible with Photoshop CS and Nikon cameras D70 and D80.
The newest plug-ins will not work with the CS version, I understand. And I have been unable to access the earlier plug-ins.

Go to this page and on it you have listed latest Camera Raw update. If you can't download it or access this page most definitely you have problem with your browser. And by the way newest Camera Raw is compatible with Photoshop CS.
