How do you resize a selected image?
Help would be appreciated.

Hi

Try pressing ctrl+alt+i and you will get a dialog box with the information about the image size. Here you can change the image size and resolution...

(You can also select "Image" - "Image Size" in the top menu - same dialog box)

If you're trying to resize a selection, you can always use Free Transform. Press Command + T on a Mac or Ctrl + T on a PC and using any corner handle to resize the object. Press and hold the Shift key to resize it proportionately so it doesn't get all "whoppy-jawed."
