I had a custom logo designed for me by a local tattooist. However, I'm having trouble doing what I want with it. I was hoping someone here could take a look at it and tell me if what I'm trying to do is even possible with photoshop. I have to believe it is.

Attached you'll find the logo.

I want to make the image white and have the background match whatever color it's up against.

I'm concerned since the logo, outline isn't solid.

Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks for taking the time.

Steve

Hi Steve,
- Press [Alt+Shift+Ctrl+~] to select the image luminosity
- Convert the background to layer (Layer > New > Layer from Background)
- Mask the unnecessary areas (Layer > Layer Mask > Hide Selection)
- In the Layers palette, click the layer thumbnail (to deactivate the mask)
- Press [D] (to make sure the default colors selected)
- Press [Ctrl+Backspace] to fill the layer with background color (white)

Thanks so very much! That worked perfectly and you shed some light on the method too.

Very helpful.
