rotate brushes

Hi there, been using PS for several years now, I used to be able to select a brush and rotate and transform it in it's own option box, can't see any way to do that anymore, what am I missing? I have a tablet and have looked up the advice on 'dynamic brushes but I don't seem to have that option. I'm on CS3 on a Mac 10.4

If you open a document, click on the brush tool and an icon will appere next to the Bridge icon in the top menu bar.
Click on the icon and then click on Brush Tip Shape.

Many thanks, hadn't even noticed this before. Curious tyhough everytime I try to opt for a change in 'rotation' of a brush it's not available, I get the little warning triangle icon. What I'm looking for is a sofgt oval brush which I can change the rotation of as I move through an image. Use to be a simple box opened with four control points allowing you any degree of oval and any degree of rotation. I miss that. Can't see that in the brushes palette although it has a bewildering array of other possibilities.
