View Full Version : transparency problem too (little different)

I have text that I have put an image in, and I have everything cut out and there is no background behind it in Photoshop, but when i save it and bring it into Illustrator I get a white box behind it. I do not want the white box I want to be able to work with it and layer things behind it without being able to see the big white box.....

very frustrating, any help would be appreciated greatly!!!

How are you saving (in what format) the image in Photoshop?

make sure that your image that you want to cut out is not the background layer. if it is make it layer by just double clicking it. after it is a layer now make sure you go to "save as..." and save it in GIF format and also check the transparency box, then click ok, then click ok again. here is a screen shot:
