Drawing A 3d Donut in Adobe Illustrator

Would anyone know the easiest way to draw a 3D donut in Adobe Illustrator.

Basically I want to figure out to draw a tube and make it bend into a circle.

I need it 3d so I can add lighting effects.

Any suggestions.

drawing a tube and then bend it won't work in Illustrator, but doing a circle and revolving it might do it, if you figure out how to leave a little space in the middle
