how do i turn a psd into jpg

AH:eek:! how do you reformat a psd file into a jpg file? im so confused
--> i have already tried to rename the file as a jpeg and it didn't work.

When the File Save dialog opens change the name and change the format to Jpeg then save, this allows you to keep the PSD in case you have to make changes, but it also allows you to save the jpeg.
