Hey All,

Not sure if this is a simple of difficult question, but I'm looking to apply filters or techniques to graphics and fonts to create an aged or old fashioned look. By aged and old fashioned, I'm referring to rough edges and wrinkle or spackle effect on fonts. I see it all the time on T-shirts. Not sure how they accomplish it, but it looks great. I was able to get a distress filter from a friend and use it as a filler in my fonts and graphics and it looks okay, but I would like some other options.

Your advice is appreciated

Thanks!

There are many things you can do to age photos, and many free brushes available to help you. Check out "paper damage" and the "decay brush" available from the Adobe Studio Exchange (http://share.studio.adobe.com/) web site.

For even more information, I wrote a tutorial called aging photos (http://www.graphicreporter.com/tutorials/photoshop_agingphotos.html) a few months back which includes more techniques that might be helpful.
