command + opt + ~ doesn't work

I was following along with the tuturial on creating a blown out look by Corey and for some reason the keyboard shortcut (cmd + opt + ~) he showed to pick up the luminance hilights won't work on my computer. I checked in keyboard shortcuts to see if I could find it there, but no go. I use CS2.

Anyone that might know what I am doing wrong,I sure would appreciate some imput. Also, is that command the same as going to "color range" and selecting highlights?

We had same thread here and i answer on it. Anyways you can go to Color Range command and select the Highlights from drop down menu. It will work.
