Channel alpha visualization

When I open a file with an alpha channel (like TGA) in PS 7.0, i see masked area transparent (i. e. the background of the image is the transparent checkerboard)... but in Ps CS i see the background in black color....
Can I see the background transparent even in Ps CS when I open the file?

The prefs in your copy of CS may have been changed to a solid colour, if not, maybe there is a layer below the transparent image
