Ok I am working on a Mac and I got a disc with some fonts on it in a magazine when I go to put them in the font book it comes up with "Serious problems were found. Do not use this font." It has that for the Font Name Table. What I would like to known is this some thing really bad or should I not worry about and put them on my computer.

Hello,

What i am suggesting to you is that: create brand new folder somewhere on your hard drive than copy your fonts into that folder. And later you should have installed some Font Management software, since you use MAC i will tell you for MAC only.
1. Font Doctor
2. FontAgent Pro
3. Linotype FontExplorer
4. Suitcase Fusion
5. Smasher
6. Trans Type Pro

I use Linotype FontExplorer and is great.
So basically what you have to do now when you have installed some font management software installed is that to create set for example in Linotype FontExplorer name it whatever you like and import fonts in that set. So you can preview them in that application and even type what you want (in Linotype FontExplorer) and see how that type will look like with applied some font.
TIP: In that main folder you have created first you should store fonts for example by category, or name in separate folders and create sets named by that category. Is better when you have things organized so you can find them whenever you like or modify...

I think this will work with this font management software. And what is benefit of this is that your OS isn't piled with bunch of fonts which can slow down your machine because of that if you have a lot of fonts installed in your default fonts folder. Is better to have only default fonts in your main OS fonts directory. For the rest font management software will do the job.
Try this i think it will help you a lot.
